Today, Dongfang Suanxi unveiled its first flagship chip, the DF1000, in Shanghai, claiming to be the
world's first software-defined near-memory computing 3D chip. This chip adopts a "software-defined + 3D stacked near-memory computing" technology route, achieving software-hardware decoupling and dynamic reconstruction through software-defined chip technology, achieving 520TFLOPS@BF16 computing power at the 14nm process node. Dongfang Suanxin stated that this solution does not rely on advanced overseas manufacturing processes but relies on a domestic supply chain, aiming to solve the three core bottlenecks facing China's high-end computing chips. The company was established in May 2024, headquartered in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, with a team of over 500 people.
