Microsoft plans to remove the Deep Research and Podcasts agents from its consumer Copilot
applications on August 18, with a lifecycle of about 16 months. Some functions of Deep Research have been integrated into the Researcher agent, and users can access previous reports in their chat history. After the Podcasts agent is removed, users will not be able to access or export AI-generated podcast content, and previously shared links will also become invalid.
