On July 22, 2026, China Aerospace Xiguang Aerospace successfully launched the country's first fully
independently developed quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing satellite, 'Xiguang 2-01' (Caiyun Hyperspectral 01). The satellite achieves 10m spatial resolution, 7nm spectral resolution, and a 14km swath width in the visible to near-infrared spectrum, representing the highest specifications for commercial hyperspectral satellites in China, and can acquire up to 1 million km² of hyperspectral imagery per day. Equipped with AI computing power, the satellite integrates quantitative hyperspectral remote sensing and real-time intelligent processing in orbit, bringing the total number of in-orbit satellites of China Aerospace Xiguang Aerospace to over 12.
