ASRock Industrial announced a partnership with Dutch AI chip company Axelera AI, and its edge AI
platform will support Metis AIPU accelerators in PCIe AIC or M.2 form factors, additionally expanding to up to 214 TOPS of INT8 inference performance. The Metis AIPU uses Samsung's 5nm process and D-IMC digital in-memory computing technology, with a power consumption of 8~15W, which can reduce power consumption and total cost of ownership compared to traditional GPU architectures.
